E36 M3 Headlight Options

Hey guys,

I've been on a maxbimmer hiatus for a long while and it looks like I wasn't the only one.

With that being said, I recently purchased a 1999 E36 M3 and I'm looking into new headlight options. I remember back in the day when there were so many online performance shops and now there's only Umnitza and Turner Motorsport.

Am I missing something? Are there any Canadian retailers or even other US ones?

I had a set of DJ Auto headlights with glass lenses on my e36 when I had it and I absolutely loved them! I bought them from ecs tuning if I remember correctly which is a US company but does ship to Canada. I don't remember how much I paid for them but think it was somewhere in the $400 range Canadian all said and done. That also includes 3M film covers for them to protect the glass lenses but I highly recommend them as they were amazing headlights.

Maybe ECS tuning bumped up their pricing cause I priced out ZKW's, DEPO's and Bosch sets and all of them came out to $900+ CAD.

I wish DDM was still selling full sets. What ever happened to them?

That's exactly what I was thinking. 10 years ago these lights were $1k, how are they the same price today?

Looks like DDM no longer sells headlights. That leaves me with Turner Motorsport, ECS, Umnitza.

Is there anywhere else I should take a look?

ZKW & Bosch are probably getting rarer to find now, so the prices have held.

Depos are cheap and can be found a lot of places. Those what DDM sold in the past?

Ended up finding someone on Bimmerforums who restores and sells euro headlights out of Germany. Bought a mint set of Bosch euro projectors for $400 shipped.

Still waiting for them to arrive, so fingers crossed that they're as advertised lol.
