Hey guys
Who here knows how to unlock the New I phone!
I have that is unlocked already, but the New ones just cant be unlocked somehow, let me know

new iphones CAN be unlocked, just not with software. there is currently NO software unlock for the 1.1.2 firmware iphones. what you CAN do, is get a "ghost sim" that works kind of like tricking the iphone into thinking it is reading an AT&T sim cars.

go on eBay and search: turbosim

these are tested and work.

^^^ Thoes turbosim's are ranging from $50 - $200 bucks. So I dont think that they would be the best bet.

they are the ONLY bet if you have firmware 1.1.2

there are other similar products with different names, look around. let me know if you find something cheaper. anyone know if they can be found at pacific mall?

if you have a 1.1.2 phone out the box, check the boot loader version you have. if you have 4.6 you cant software unlock it. You will have to go with a sim emulator like turbosim etc. But it requires you cutting your sim in Half for it to work.

You may be lucky and get a virgin 1.1.2 phone that was made in week 44 or earlier that has the old version of the boot loader. If this is the case you can unlock the phone, even if 1.1.2 is the firm ware.

1.1.2 firmware is not the issue, it is the base band thats loaded on the new iphones thats the problem. When the phone boots up it scans the entire firmware for any "exploits" or if its been tampered with.

This is my predicament. I broke my 1.0.2 4 gig phone (i dropped his ass and the bottom part of the touch panel is no longer responsive.) I upgraded to 1.1.2 firmware and sent his ass back to apple) Good thing a family member of mine bought it for me in Atlanta, they will be sending me a new one, but chances are it will have the new boot loader. So i will just hold onto the phone until the software unlock is out. if its a few months I will bite the bullet and get the turbosim.

You can bypass the baseband on the new phones?

well my solution is to downgrade from 1.1.2 to 1.1.1 and unlock. and i can downgrade the baseband from 1.1.2 to 1.1.1

That doesn't work with the new bootloader on the newer 1.1.2 phones.

hi, ya you are right. well after some research i unlock 1.1.2 now with stealthsim. I can do it for $140. Thats the cheapest on the net and cheaper then pacific mall. everyone charges $160+. Let me know. 647-896-7625

right now the price for unlock is already lower than 100.

some palce only charge 80. 20 for software and 60 for the turbosim

I just got back my 4 Gig after i broke it. They sent me a refurb with the new firm ware and boot loader. gotta bite the bullet and just get the stealth sim, check KIJIJI some dudes on there doing the unlock and the stealth sim for 70.
