Four people are facing charges after Ottawa Police say alleged gang members occupied the home of innocent bystanders in Ottawa's west end.

The Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit launched an investigation after patrol officers checked on the welfare of residents of a home Thursday afternoon.

Four men were arrested in the residence and will appear in court today to face a number of charges.

The charges include forcible confinement, unlawfully in a dwelling, harassment, intimidation,
assault with a weapon and uttering threats of death.

The Guns and Gangs Unit says alleged gang members continue to take over houses in Ottawa,
and it's a problem that cannot be easily stopped
