WTT 98 civic si for BMW

I've been looking to move from my FWD to RWD for a while now so here it is.

I have a 1998 Honda Civic Si, D16Y8, 245,xxxkm, gets about 6l per 100km or almost 40mpg, sometimes better on long hwy runs between Toronto and Sherbrooke where I go to school. Also the explanation for the KM

Recently done:

Timing belt 8k ago, New belts 8k ago, New Aluminum Rad 5k ago, KVR Carbon fiber metallic pads 5k ago. Has had Royal Purple since I got it, both in trans axles and in motor (never burns any).

Done at some point over the last 2 years:

Rear upper and lower strut bars, front upper strut bar, rear suspension techniques sway bar kit, Poly bushings in several places (I have all of them just doing them slowly as I have the opportunity, All in black for less squeaking), Magnaflow cat back with removable silencer (Stainless, I do alot of highway km and wanted it to be quiet), Magnaflow stainless cat, Hedman chikira header (if the trade is right I can include a Stainless elelbrock tri-y new in box), B&M short shifter with stock bend, Vibrant type R shift knob (Stock one included), all vacuum lines replaced with silicone, Summer rims 15" momo split 5 spoke with Falken ze512's 70%, winter rims honda steelies 14" with generic but good winter tires 85%. Bear Cross drilled and slotted rotors, custom black housing headlights (I made them so they really are 1 offs). I'm sure I'm missing some stuff interior is mint, everything works, power everything (mirrors, door locks, windows, sunroof)

Stereo

Factory 6 disc alpine cd changer

or

My current setup, depending on trade (current setup worth about $850) can be negotiated.

Has a valid e-test, can certify or needs rear brake shoes to certify

The bad:

The front of the hood is stone chipped pretty severely, easy fix (no rust) rear spoiler has a small crack next to the brake light. Dent on the passenger side fender (what I get for living close to a bar)

Please PM me for pics, I need e-mail address as I have about 50.

As far as what I'm looking for, I'd like a 3 or 5 series 6cyl manual or a 7 series, not too picky, let me know what you have and I'll get back to you, I'm heading back to school on the 5th or 6th of Jan so I won't be around untill end of march after that. I would expect a trade in the 4k range depending on if you want my stereo or the stock setup.

nope doesn't have to be a straight trade, also not expecting to world, just want to move into a BMW, was expecting E30's or early E36's, E28's, E34's, and E32's. I don't think thats too far out of line but if you do your entitled to your opinion.

PS. thanks for the free bump

^^lol, I'm trying to 'tarde' my car in for a Honda actually (its a ford) and I get that SAME reaction from ppl. I guess when you go from Honda to BMW its like a jump from FORD to honda hahaha.

Anyways good luck with your trade, you should be able to get something along the lines of e30-36

Not for $4K he won't. Well he will find an E30-36 for $4k but it will be a basket case. When I was looking for my car in June there was nothing under $10K that was a car I'd have bought without planning on spending $5K to fix.

The 97 328is I have now has cost me about $11K to get it purchased and sorted out.

you are probebly better off just selling your civic and buying a bimmer stright up. Also, you dont have to read about people making fun...

I'm not intimidated by a challange, I'm a mechanic by trade, unfortuanitly hurt my knee pretty bad causing me to go back to school, sell my old cars and get the civic. Cars for sale on a few different boards, I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket. I don't mind some haters, been dealing with that for years.

You can definitely find some decent E30s and E32s in that price range. For a trade on a Civic Si, I think it'll be difficult. As a matter of fact, any trade is difficult because you limit yourself to so many potential individuals. The Civic is a popular car and, as E46iT suggested, a sell-and-buy will probably be most effective.

If someone buys it outright thats what will happen, but I didn't want to eliminate anyone who might be looking for a trade, I've been surfing the forums and the 325i that INFAMOU$ is selling would be exactly what I'm looking for, now just to find a buyer.

Since this is now the case I'll say 3800 without the new header (nothing wrong with the old one), 4200 with the header, and 4700 with the stereo obo
