Rain-X is the way to go. If you're going fast enough you won't even need to use your wipers.

My friend's Audi came with Valeo. he says replacement inserts are about $25 each, but the arms are about $100 or so. Says he'll never go back.

one more qestion, Do I really need to change my wiper arms too??
I see little rust there but seems like they don't really need to be replaced..
I called BMW toronto to ask them about the price,
$66/each for wiper arm $73/pair for the blades..
I might go with dealer blades..

$73 for the blades must be the whole assembly. this thread got me thinking, and i went out and bought the new rubber blades today from the dealership. $30 for the pair. not sure how old the last ones were, but the new ones work way better.
need to top-up the rain-x tho

I think there are 3 big parts
1. Wiper Arm : Metal that controls Wiper blade (#1 in the picture)
2. Wiper blade : this attaches to wiper arm (#3 in the picture)
4. Wiper blade insert : actual rubber that contacts with wind shield. (#10 in the picture)
I think you paid $30 for 2 blade inserts.
$73 for wiper blade: this might comes with wiper blade + insert (rubber)
My queestion is... do we need to change our wiper arms??

I think you only need to change the rubber insert on the blade. I wouldn't bother changing the whole blade.

Although I like the original bosch with the wing on the drivers side, had them for 7 years before finally replacing them this winter
