E36 M3 Stereo Question

Okay I am a little confused and hope someone can help me out. This is what I know and I would like people to correct me if I am wrong.

Speaker Sizes: Kick panel is 5.25", Door is 3" and 1" Tweeter, Rear is 5.25".

Here is my questions, I read in most of the posts that people go with a 5.25 component set - a 5.25" and a 1" tweeter. I know where the 1" goes, and I am assuming the 5.25" goes in the kick panel, but what goes in the 3" door?

I remember back in my previous E36 days, 10 years ago, MB Quart made a kit especially for BMW's, a 1" tweeter and a 3" mid for the door. A direct screw on replacement. So what are people using now?

Most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a 3-way and a GOOD 2-way component set. What most owners do is just run a 5.25" set and disconnect the factory midrange, it will still sound very good.

DLS makes a great drop in 3-way for your car. UP36. 1" tweeter, 2.5" mid and a 5.25" mid/midbass. DLS is well known for making great gear, and is on the of the top brands (if not the top) in Europe. Apparently a direct drop in.
