adjusting ride height ? original shocks

How does one adjust ride height on an e36 for the front, it has the original shocks which is bilstein one side is lower than the other so i need the passenger side to sit a little lower which should even it out but how do i achieve this ?.

i am not a suspension specialist, but i dont believe any stock suspension has adjustable ride height.

I think you might have a coil problem. Check the side that's the lowest and you might find a cracked coil. As Mickey said, OEM suspension is not adjustable.

You do know that the driver's side sits a tiny bit higher than the passenger side as stock? The factory intended it to be this way. other than that, you could try to use spring pads to bring up the lower side to your liking.

1st its the drivers side that sits lower, 2ndly the wheel is rubbing the wing and has chipped paint off it, 3rdly ive checked the spring its fine and recompressed it and did it all again.

the passenger side i can see in the engine bay that on the strut at the top where the bolt goes theres a lot more thread left on it than on the driver side.

so i need the shock to sink in a little on the passenger side so it should even it up, im going to loosen the bolt jack it up and then tighten it and that should lower the passenger side and take the weight off the driver side and even it up.
