I like the idea!

I think he's going for the F430 look...coolest steering wheel ever.

If you can make something like this work, it would look great on plastic triangle panels of the M wheel. I would think its difficult getting the wiring up there and still make the wheel able to turn full lock. You would need something like a slip ring to work.

BTW, if you do a start button, is there any way to prevent the key from turning all the way to start. so you would turn it two clicks then have to press the button. I like the idea of a start button but if you could just start it the old fashioned way then would you ever use it???

Well i have an ignition disable switch wired into the ignition so when enabled if you try and start the car by turning the key all the way it wont start so i have to turn it to the 2nd click and press the button so it will only start via the button, but as the button is in the dash panel im going to wire a 2nd switch so that i can disable the button while im driving to stop idiot passengers meddling with it and grinding the start motor.
