fitting a start button into a steering wheel
i have fitted my start button in the panel where the cig lighter used to be but i want to fit it into my steering wheel i think it will look awesome but not sure how to go about it any ideas how to take the horn panel bit off ?
by the way this is an old pic lol mind the panel in the middle behind the gear stick thats back to normal now and the gaiter has been changed to a black one.

WTF where you thinking there? I mean the fact that you removed it, shows whatever the idea was it wasnt working for you but what WAS the idea behind it?

That panel is grosser than the last shit I flushed down the toilet. It looks like someone with down syndrome made it out of cut up pop cans and a sharpie.

I think it shows promise. You just need to find a way to put a flat panel behind the leather and then stretch it over. As for your question, which haters seem to be ignoring... I couldn't tell you, I would guess gently with a screwdriver, but I've ****ed up things in my car before with that method.

There should be two torx-head screws on the backside of the steering wheel that hold the horn cover on. Undo those and the whole center assembly should come out. (Disconnect your battery first)

ok thanks, hasselhoff but for the other guys you need to read the post properly cos u have missed what i posted yes i made a mistake with that panel yes it was like it was done by a special lol it has since been changed back to normal as i sed above the pic and i quote

Put it in behind the bmw emblem on your steering wheel. then it would be really hidden. But why the steering wheel? What happens if you to honk the horn and you hit the start button, your starter is going to try and start the car and result in grinding the gears on the starter..

i have no problem with people saying that that panel is ugly, i woudln't have done it that way. But if we want negative comments, we're covered. Why dont you go back to giving my boy his G-note.
