The fact that they did not put speed bumps in during the last year of construction is almost... almost enough to make me believe there is a god

Can you imagine how that would ruin the experience? There are so so few roads like this in the GTA..

On another note, there is huge potential for a lot more roads like this up and down the escarpment, but many of the ones I've scouted (using the Bruce Trail Guide - for hikers not bikers ) remain unsurfaced..

I always love going up to Rattlesnake point, up the tight switchbacks on Appleby Line north of Derry. Crazy! Short but sweet! Another good one out in Mississauga is Old Base Line between Bronte Rd (hwy25) and Trafalgar Rd... There are 2 one-lane wooden bridges over water, twists, and elevation changes... and wet leaves at this time of year

Last time I went there on weekday nights the streets were dead and you can floor it as much as you want.

Weekends though, be careful.

p.s. I think you're an ass if you're speeding excessively on this route. This is a great stretch of road that should be enjoyed with some spirit, but nothing excessive. Driving like an idiot will not only endanger you, but other drivers, bikers & cyclists that frequent this stretch.

woah easy bud... it was 3 in the morning.. If theres a cop there well then i pay the price. i dont think ppl are gonna be riding there bikes in the middle of the road at that time

most of those hill i did go over at 150, the turns tho... almost everyone i entered at 50 plus. My breaks got a good workout the hairpin turn beside the train track is what i slowed down the most for.

I suggest driving this stretch very slowly the first few times. I've taken my car through there once, and probably never will again. Its one of those roads to really push it on you have to know the road. Luckily, the first time i had my forks viriginty popped, it was by someone who drives very well, in something that drove very well, and who has lots of experience with the ol' forks

(thanks bro)

Like I said above, it's not just because of the other potential people... it's because you can kill yourself. Just a little off angle when you go over a hill, and you'll roll over. Someone in my highschool was decapitated by the roof of his friends car when he flew out the car window, while the car rolled over.

Don't **** around up there. The concequences are serious.
