Forks of the credit... Face lift

My buddy called me last nite and told me what i wanted to hear for a year...

I dont know if this is news to anyone here but i was excited...

Forks of the credit construction has come to an end and the whole street has been paved.. The hair pin turn beside the train tracks has been opened up more and re leveled which leaves a nice drifting option.. Only one bad area on the whole road.. theres too much of a dip and u will max out ur suspension if not slam the car on the floor....

all and all i had a blast last night.. nothing less then 50 on turns and 150 on the hills

There are usually a few cops there too, not to mention traffic so be careful. The one time I went before the Autumn cruise, my buddy and I were the ONLY people on the entire stretch What a great driving experience that was.

LOL holy shit!!! Are you kidding or serious? On some of those hills I can see you catching so much air time you would literally slam into the next hill! (I've heard of that happening) I get scared taking them at 100.

Yeah, i've had 5 friends die on seperate occasions from going 150 over the hills.

Another time, one girl didn't die, but had 127 stitches to her face.

p.s. I think you're an ass if you're speeding excessively on this route. This is a great stretch of road that should be enjoyed with some spirit, but nothing excessive. Driving like an idiot will not only endanger you, but other drivers, bikers & cyclists that frequent this stretch.

Yup - We were there a month ago, the first day the barriers were taken down. We're on top of these things!

And adding to what others said, speeding excessively through there is very dangerous. There's always people on the side of the road, and very short sightlines.

Thanks for further contributing to the stereotype. Pretty soon no one will be able to drive there. Also, your speed is as exagerated as your ego. There is no way you did 150 on ALL the hills, and no way you did no less than 50 on EVERY corner.

I can't even imagine trying to speed through there. There are just too many things that can go wrong: lots of local people traverse those roads at a given time of day, not to mention the blind corners and rapid changes in elevation.

The only time I've taken that road at a fast pace was when it was literally deserted except for my and my friend's car, and there was no one else coming in for sure.

It's a public road not a race track, something which many people tend to forget.

Yea defiently not a good idea to go fast there, too many blind corners and elevation changes. It poses too much a danger to potential people around.

Yup, very true. I was coming back from Owen Sound on the weekend and drove through the Forks. I was speeding, going around 80, and as I cleared one of the "woohoo" hills, I was staying towards teh center, and sure enough, just as I crested the hill I saw two bikers just over the hill. I moved over in time but had I been going much faster, I would have smoked them for sure.

hmmm the one time i went to check it out i didn't get to have any fun cuz there was a cruiser stalkin me for some reason. lol...and I had my winters on already so its not like I could actually have any fun anyways. But as people have said, that isn't a racetrack, and many people hike around there, so watch your speed and don't pull any stupid "stunts"
