It's definitely been and can be done...not sure where to get info though...are you doing this for more wheel options?

He wants to do this for more wheel options plus for wider setup! not exactly sure what his intentions are. but I believe he wants to run 18' on it and the 18' that he is looking at are 5x120 and are not availble in 4x100.

Personally, I think 18's are too big for an e30 (unless it's FI)...too much lag with huge wheels.

I told him to go with 16's at the most 17's as that is more than enough for the E30's even then he still wants to convert from 4 bolt to 5. again for more wheel options. I think wants the M3 Contours on it or even the M3 LTW wheels

lol, no its not that easy.

The only slightly cheaper solution is to use a combination or z3 and e36 parts, but there are some caster issues up front with using e36 parts, appearently with the right parts you can get it within spec.....but you'd have to do your research.

Drilling the hubs is not a proper solution.

Many dont do it just for the wheels, many do it for the better oem brake options. e36 m3 fronts, m-coupe rears make for some powerful brakes.......providing you have the power to back it up.

But there are some nice oem wheels you can run.

If the primary reason for him doing it is for the wheels, then it would be cheaper for him to find another set that comes in 4x100.

18's would look wayy to big on an e30, it just wouldnt look right. Tell him keep the 4x100 setup as there are some nice wheels that come in that bolt pattern. Also tell him to keep an eye on vwvortex.com , the 4x100 wheel forum has alot of em for sale.
