Photoshoot @ Lake Simcoe: M3 vs. SiR.

Fun ride today. For one my 4th year courses at U of T we had to choose an area of the greenbelt to study; naturally I chose whatever was the furthest, just so I'd have an excuse to cruise to it. Turned out to be Georgina, which is a beautiful town that I think I'll take you all to next year.

Anywho, when we stopped at this little park to take notes we realized we were at northern end of Kennedy Road, where it dumps into Lake Simcoe. Grab the damn camera.

Kennedy Road, with a 40km/h speed limit and not a single car in sight at 4pm on a Monday. Definitely not the GTA here:

Shoreline shots:

Coincidentally, a guy in my group is also a car nut, and drives an immaculate EK SiR. Photoshoot!

Hope you guys enjoy the shots, we had fun taking them (and cruising all the way up there). Please be nice to my 5 year old 2mp Nikon, it's doing the best it can.

Jay

So, did you do any scientific investigation into which car merges into traffic better?

I know the 90's were for PC, but it doesn't hurt with the new heat on the streets

thats near keswick. Lots of great driving there. Even is a Nice long strech of twisties that span from Newmarket to Sutton. Hits even some of Lake Simco. Jay if you do a cruise are there, lemme know. I know those roads up there pretty well. I could help you plan out the route.

Well for what I did (pretty much straight up to Georgina and back) it was only like 150km or so. The cruise I've been considering for months now which would pass through the area is much longer. Think all day.

lol, that's pretty funny. There weren't ANY cops at all there, in fact there was only one other car in the lot the entire time we were there (maybe 30 mins). Again though, Monday at 4pm.

Nah, we never drove hard at all. Good thing to, we passed a huge speed trap on McCowan like 20km north of any traffic lights, completely middle of nowhere. They were setup on both sides of the road, should have seen how hard they stared at the two cars as we rolled by doing 10 over.

Oh I know. It looks like I might stretch some of my research into Keswick, I figured I'd end up running into you in the process. I was sitting in class yesterday staring at some maps, I think I found the fun roads.

Countryside Conservation, Geography course. And I'm pretty happy with the way the pics came out!

Thanks for the kind words everyone,
Jay

Good thing you got out of there when you could. I heard in the news today that Georgina had a bunch of cars spraypainted with swastikas, and lots of racist hate on asian fisherman.

You're lucky you aren't a fisherman.
