Anyone here have a new X5?

Im thinking of getting rid of the M3 and the new X5 might be the ticket. I would get it with a V8. Anyone here have one, what are your thoughts?

Kewl,
Im looking at
1. Fully loaded V8 X5. Perhaps with the M package, if its out.
2. Cayenne GTS
3. Audi S6 if I dont get a SUV.
4. Ranger Rover Sport Supercharged.

If I do get something new, I will be around January, so I have some time, and hopefully I will be buying in the US since I will be living back in the US in 2008.

you probably won't need all the things on a fully loaded X5, e.g. Rear DVD.

But one thing you absolutely have to get is comfort seats (Same ones that come on the 7 series)

The X5 also will come with soft close doors for 08 (also on the 7 series)

Semi fully loaded then, ya, i don't want the rear DVD.
I like the option of the 3rd row seating also.

The RRS looks great, but I got some reservations about it.

My boss has a black on black X5 4.8i and I drive it every now and then. I really have nothing bad to say about it, it has the power when you need it and its a smooth and comfortable ride. The knob thing gets annoying to use (iDrive I think it's called, w.e.) so I just use the steering wheel controls. Luggage room is ample! and the rear seats fold down so you can carry the odd large objects if needed. Don't know about gas consumption, but seeing as it's a V8 I would never buy one, I'm fine with my 4 bangers.

EDIT: it is fully loaded, the reverse guidance mode is really cool but don't rely on it to reverse park. The stock speakers (Boss I believe?) are great.

also take a look at the 3rd row seating before you get it. It's pretty useless unless you have kids, the seats are so small.

The 3rd row seating is tight, but its nice to have if you need it.

What's a Cayenne GTS? I wouldn't get a RRS, my friend has one, it's cool, but I'd much rather get a cayenne over all those cars, second being the 4.8

RRS if it was still built by bmw. But now it's Ford. Did you see the interior? it's a downgrade from the old ones.
