M10 fuel injector upgrade

Hi,

I am currently working on 1.8 M10 with stock injectors. I am considering an upgrade. Which injectors from other BMWs would be worth using without problems ?

Thanks,

I was told by an import mechanic that I can use any injectors from any car (as long as they fit ofcourse) with engine size 1.8 to 2.2/2.4.

What other upgrades to M10 make sense - other than going turbo ?

to me not really anything since you are building an e30 i would just go with an m30 setup or a s52.. but if you wanna keep the four banger go with the s14.. it will bolt up right to and m10 engine mounts with no mods needed. you can use any tranny thats bolted up to an m10 or go with the s14 tranny but dont know if you have to modify the tunnel to fit it. but the biggest problem would be mating both harnesses together

I don't really want to change the engine as for some reason I like the simplicity of M10. I upgraded the coil and sparkplug wires and I will upgrade the injectors. I guess I will see once it is back on the road. I am also thinking on having custom header made and of course better exhaust.

you dont need custom check out ireland enginering www.bmw2002.com they might have them...and for exhaust dont go bigger than 2.25 inches cause then your loosing a lot of power...2 inch is perfect for a street apllication

Thanks, but it will be cheaper to do header locally.
They have really nice stuff for older BMWs.

^^ IIRC any injectors will work, as long as its the same impedence as the stock ones... Look around on e30tech, there may be some more info on that there because there are a few people into Turboing those on that board, and they should be able to tell you whats up.
