WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!!!!

Instead of assuming things, lets only post if we know the fact. The U.S. mandated airbags in ALL cars in 1990. BMW was ontop of it and some U.S. cars even in late 89 production had airbags. The saftey commission in the U.S. was a little faster than Canada in mandating them on new cars. Thats why alot of Canadian e30's never had the airbags. Problem now is trying to get a 90-91 e30 into the states, as the U.S. requires it to have an airbag. (so just a fyi, any 90-91 owners without airbags in Canada, we can't buy your cars on this side of the line unless it has an airbag)

And BTW, that photo shown is NOT an e36 wheel. It's the U.S. E30 airbag wheel.

Overhere in Europe did the Airbag first emerge with the E36 in the 3 series.
