Let me introduce my ride - e36 328i cabrio.

After a two year search for an unmolested example, in march 2006 I finally found - and bought what has been my dream car for a very long time.

I really was after a high spec'd example in black, with black leather, so patience was a virtue.

It was well worth it as I found one you won't find again in such condition (over here) as most are being trashed by "young kids".

I'm not gonna show all the before pics of when I bought it, but is was very much in OEM shape, exactly what is my way of live. The previous ownder did install LCD screens in the headrests, which is not my thing, but unless I source some mint leather headrests, these are gonna stay in for now. They don't function anymore as the dramatic aftermarket HU was replaced for a BMW Business CD HU.

Rest of spec's

- 8/1996 328i cabriolet, German import. (full 1997 model)
- Cosmos Black
- leather/heated sportseats
- full leather doorcards. Inner doorhandles are also leathered (Lux Pack)
- passenger airbag
- auto dimm rearview mirror
- rollover protection
- center armrest
- fully automatic roof
- factory alarm (EWS2 class III)
- Sport steering wheel.
- skipass/skisack
- full OBC
- M-Tech bodykit, with Lux sideskirts / M moudlings
- M mirrors (heated/electric)
- Climate Control with optional AUC (Auto Air Circulation)
- 18" OEM M V-spoke wheels (style 72)
- Footwell lights
- Hardtop preperation
- Model designation delete
- Lux Pack

Mods are few but sensible (imo)
- lit M gearknob
- M Airbag wheel
- chrome gauge rings
- chrome door release handles
- BMW motorsport shocktower covers (got these for free, so...)
- 17" BBS RC041/042 2-piece wheels, staggered (OEM BMW style 29)
- M Clubsport doorsills
- BMW Z3 reinforcement plates for top shockmounts
- OEM CF M3GT/Individual center console
- fresh clear indicators front
- little bits and pieces
- Hardtop (purchased 1,5 months ago from a German. Was in ^%^^ brand new condition!)

- And the only mod I did that wasn't an OEM BMW part:
Installed E39 moodlights in my domelight unit. (vert domelight unit dimensions are totally different)

Other things:
- new clutch assambly
- new rear trailing arm bushes
- e46 vert shock topmounts (+ said Z3 plates)

Few pics. More will follow

full leather doorcards/handles:

100% stock engine

I guess it was looking-at-the-pics-not-reading-the-text time again

OEM CF M3GT/Individual center console.

Matching CF glovebox strip to be added soon.

And before I get more "needs a drop" comments. Sure that would be nice, but no option with the millions of speedbumps over here.

I actually want to be able to drive my car. Not admire how nice it looks
