Mileage correction
If anyone needs to correct their mileage (replaced the cluster, different tire size etc) you can PM me (BMW or any other car, any year).

No it is actually 100% legal, what do you think you'd do when your cluster dies and you need new one? You get one with 0km or one with more or less than your car has..

Well most cases doesn't mean all cases.

I actually got my cluster changed out from the stealer, and they set it back to 0... I would love to get it back to showing the proper reading, but never had the time to take it back to the dealer that I got it switched out from.

Price depends on the make/model/year
When it comes to BMW general rule the newer means more expensive. More work, and often whole cluster has to come out. Also, in most cases mileage is stored in 3 or more places..

its not illegal in some cases....for example if you restore and old car you can roll the odometer back to zero if you wish...this can only be done if majority if the parts are new... and i know this is true because my insurance company told me i can do it when i restore mine
