Rear deck lid and dash removal

hey guys i was wondering if theres any links to proper E30 dash removal procedures? i have never done one and have heard some horror stories about the Hvac controls and what not

Also what are the steps of removing the rear deck lid behind the rear seat?

Currently my interior is blue, i have a complete leather interior im swapping in and i would like to do something about the rear deck lid since it is blue carpet has anyone wraped the rear lid in vynal or anything like that? ive also heard using carpet paint on it to change it to black to match the interior? let me know what u guys think thanks!

you can use a spray dye, from canadian tire. i used it on my entire interior almost, and it works great.

HVAC controls are held in by 4 screws under the little plate in the front, in between the sliders.

Rear decklid is easy to take out.

1. Remove rear seatback
2. take off rear speakers (4 screws each, just pry out the grills)
3. pull up+out the little plastic pieces over where the seatbelts attach
4. remove the rear light (if needed, it just pulls apart + two screws)
5. just tug on it and the whole rear deck comes up and out.
