I personally think both models look great. The differences are really subtle. If i can get a 2002+ for my price range, fantastic, but i think i might have to stick to 1999-2001. I'll let you guys know what i end up getting

you should take a look at http://toronto.kijiji.ca/ or craigslist.

There are lots of nice BMWs in your price range on there too

People mentioned to stay away from the 1999s. Is there any paticular reason for this? Is it just those models or all of them in general?

I'd go with the 323Ci with the sports package. Look nicer

Yeah about 2 months ago Before I got my current car I was considering a 99 323i cause they were so cheap.

But yeah they have alot of tranny and electrical problems. I hear most of the issues were sorted out in 2001.

So id get an 01+ for sure.......and if you're serious about getting an 01 then put a little bit more down and get an 02 sedan, you will not regret it.

I really can't put more down...I'm pretty rigid on my 15k price limit, so that pretty much limits me to a 1999 or 2000. wish i could get some extra cash, but for once in my life, im trying really hard to stick to a budget

If ur tight on cash, I wouldn’t recommend getting a used BMW! Get urself like a cheap Honda or something... I had my car for a little over a year now and spent over $15,000 on maintenance/upgrades and repairs! Each little thing is like $1000 buck to fix not to mention the $120 dollar oil changes…

How did you spend $15,000 on maintenance? I'm sure most of it went to upgrades. I bought my 330 last year and have spent maybe $1000 on maintenance since getting in (including oil changes).
