Exhaust gains?

Ok, I want to do an exhaust on my car but don't want to spend the cash for the full system. Would there be any benifits from a gutted cat and a flowmaster 40 series? Will it be rediculously loud and shit sounding?

Also, what is the piping size at the muffler?

Are there multiple cats on the 325e?

there is one cat on a 325 e.. but usually has 2 mufflers.. my exhaust is a supersprint muffler and a magnaflow high flow cat.. with 2 1/4" inch stainless it sounds great

Is there 2 mufflers or a resonator and a muffler?

well its a resonater and a muffler but the resonator looks like a mini muffler lol i never put a resonater back in i just went cat strait 2 1/4'' to the sprint..

Cat is gutted and following that I have the pipe upped to 2.5".

No resonator either that's gone, all the way back to a flowmaster 60.

The 40 might be too big, i'd suggest the 60 it's loud and aggressive enough trust me.

I just need to get my pipe refit, the idiots who did it, have it hanging too low and it scrapes sometimes, being the lowest part on my car.

When I change my clutch i'll take a look at it, I might justy gut the cat, keep the resonator and put a 40 series on it. 40 series is a 2.25" I believe. What is the factory piping?
