Place to buy adapters and dash kit for e36 in ottawa?

Hey all,

Its time to upgrade the factory headunit and I'm just wondering if anyone knows a place in Ottawa that might happen to stock everything I need? Also, do I really need a dash kit for most headunits or does a standard DIN unit with faceplate fit without the need for an adapter? I know I do need the wiring harness and possibly an antenna adapter though.

Thanks.

You won't need an adapter for a single DIN deck on an E36 unless your mounting elsewhere. Futureshop should have your wiring harness kit and male/female radio adapter. Thats really all you need for a deck install in an E36.... pretty straight forward!

Honestly, if you walk into any future shop that has a car audio install place, they'll more than likely have the kit that you need. Just go in and ask, i don't think they advertise it on their website.

any stereo shop should stock that harness for 15$ or less and you wont need a dash kit which is nice. you will need an antenna adapter too

Hey guys thanks for the info, I walked into best buy and asked the car audio guy and they have all the harneses in their shop so you can't find them on the racks in the store.. no problem tho - $14.99 each for the antenna adapter and the wiring harness. Sweet. Stereo is going in tonight hopefully.

thanks again
