Leaky Exhaust Power Loss ?

I was wondering can a leaking exhaust cause power loss ? cos mines a leaking a little but not much its leaking at where the back box joins the rest of the centre pipe but im not noticing any power loss.

mine was leaking like, small hole maybe 1 inch or less . and the car was not going so well i tell you ...i got it fix and my idle is smoother and the car run better
