Best BMW dealer in the GTA?

Hey Guys,

Does anyone recommend a specific BMW dealer in the GTA? I just got an '01 330i and wnat to know where I should take it when I need service.

Any positive or negative experiences at dealers in the Toronto area?

Thanks!
Bryan

Dealers are a little pricey for service. I'd recommend that you take your 330 to one of the many shops that cater to BMW owners. Most people recommend RMP in Bolton.

If you insist on a dealership, Town & Country in Markham is one where I've consistently received great customer service. But I've never taken my car there.

I was in Town and Country and was impressed how they topped up my oil with two bottles of full synthetic for free :-)

Are there any other good BMW independents closer to Markham or Scarborough that you know of? There is a BMW mechanic called "Europa Motorsports" by my workplace in Markham, but I have no idea what kind of work that they do. Has anyone ever heard of them?

I'm assuming that you are referring to these guys?

Do you know what they labour rate is? Have you had any major jobs done there?

I would prefer to have a place more local to me in Markham or Scarborough; Mississauga is a little far for me on weekdays.

Thanks,
Bryan

Thanks, it sounds like you hold them in high regards

It's just that I would have trouble working them into my work schedule, since they are only open 9 to 5 on weekdays, and I need my car every day. I will see what I can do. They don't offer loaner cars by chance? And do you know their hourly rate?

Thanks,
Bryan

No personal experience, exactly but I know one of the mechanics at Europa Motors on Woodbine. Been there once and was fairly impressed by the shop. I mean, all they deal with is BMW so...

The shop is very clean, the people who work there are very friendly, and they offer a reimbursement (can't remember if it's full or partial) for cab rides within 5 km. I'd have no problem taking my car there.

The only disadvantage I know of is that they're only into OEM stuff, not aftermarket. So getting your S/C installed there isn't the best idea.

I don't why no one else on the board recommends them but I haven't heard anything negative at all. I'd have no problem taking my 330 there. Actually, because it's closer than every other one, I will be taking my car there.

Oh, the hourly rate is $80 if I recall correctly. BMW is $120.

Thanks HoldenC for your preliminary description of Europa Motorsports . Please let me know how they work out for you, because I could walk to work from there in less than five minutes, so it would be REALLY convenient if they have competent BMW mechanics.

Might be a little while b4 I go there, I do my own work on the car. I'll only go there if there's something I can't possibly do myself.

My boss takes his 745iL to Maranello BMW, and he's very satisfied with the service.

I take my car to Bimmersport.

Both are excellent choices.

Take it to BMW toronto, they're a corporate dealership (owned by BMW AG). Also, thier parts are cheaper.

Going to the dealer for repairs is an absolute waste of money, RMP motors and Bimmersport automotive (both of whom are sponsors here) service bmw's and have great reputations and even better prices.

It seems like Bimmersport gets most of the votes here, but I am going to give Europa Motors a try just becuase they are so much more conveniently located for me. They are going to fix my rattling heat sheild tomorrow (it drives me nuts in the underground parking!) so I will see how that goes. They do a free diagnostic for first-time customers as well.

Surely someone here has been to Europa for service before?
