Update! Got some rims, finally.

Hey - its been a little while since i've updated - not much has changed. I did manage to find a set of rims though! Tell me what you think. I know that my front bumper is still cracked and my rear valence isnt perfect, it just needs another screw or 2.

Opinions? Comments? all welcome.

Bought the rims used, from a guy in missisauga. They came off a 4door VW Golf. They're 17x7 ADR something-or-other. Similar to the M-Sport though. Et40, wrapped in 215/45/17 Bridgestone Potenza RE011's. Rims were 340, tires (used) 200, tuner lugs and centering rings 80. so about 600 altogether. I think i did alright. DONT GET RIPPED ON CENTERING RINGS!! i only paid $12 for mine, some moron quoted me $70 for the same things. shop around. stinkin tuner lugs were expensive though. grrrrrrrr. they're shiny tho

The windshield is almost see-through (70%), so if i dont tell you its tinted you more than likely wont notice. the heat difference is noticeable though. darkest youd ever want to go on a windshield is 50%, and thats pushing it hardcore. my friend is going 15% all around with a 50% windshield. on a black car. its gonna be interesting.

thanks drew

4 door definitely FTW, dave. i like my headlights clear and bright as possible.....i know that smoking the ellipsoids doesnt make them dimmer but somehow smoking and headlights doesnt work for me. i pretty much blackened my turn signals though i love _that_.

fury man your whip is looking GOOD
the rims are pefrect!

but i want to know, did the rims alone give the car a drop? or do u have a lowered susp already?

and that wing. that is the exact wing im looking for. can u tell me what kind of wing it is? im thinking m3 wing but correct me if i is wrong.

gato - rims actually RAISED the car 1/4" or so, due to the rubber being a hair oversize. makes 'em look bigger though, which is fine with me. im running h&r sports + koni yellow adjustables all around. love the ride.

i do not know what wing that is, but it is similar to the m3 wing. a bit more rounded and 'flowy' though. fil @ eurostyle was selling an IDENTICAL one a little while back, pm him and see if he still has it.

luke - they're not spacers, just centering 'rings'. they snap into the bore of the rim and center it perfectly on the hub. pm me and tell me exactly what you need and ill call the shop and see if i can get you something.

Hmm, i dont think it will work because my rims require spacers as well...i just need to get some hubcentric ones made.
