I asked Charlie whats up and he assured me that this is because of construction of it and they are all like that.
So you are saying that can be a crack? (it looked a bit too straight for being a crack, more like a split between the pieces of metal constituting the subframe)

Hi Alex, I have not been posting much, been extremely busy working on my car among other major projects.
There are a few slots on the front subframe at the end of welded seams, so Charlie is right. If you look at my pic showing the front subframe you will see the lower white arrow crossing a factory weld, look at the ends of the weld and you will see two huge open slots.
I did not weld them close at that spot, I think they were meant to facilitate water drainage, however that slot continues on downwards to the ends and there I welded them shut with 3/16 weld beads. One inch of weld can withstand huge lateral tension so no worries there.
They are not critical stress points but since I am doing the big six turbo swap I welded all of the start/finish slots.
They are not prone to fractures as they are but if you are doing any motor swap or have the motor out I would weld them if I were you.
