Using aftermarket suspension systems? Check-in!

I'll be in the market for a suspension overhaul very soon and I would like to see what people on the board are running in terms of spring/shock combos. Please post:

a) Brand + model of springs/shocks
b) approx. miles/kms driven on them
c) Experience thus far
d) a side-profile pic would be nice, but not necessary

I know a very popular setup is Bilstein sports + H&R Sport/Race, but I would like to see everyone's input on their setups.

PS. Anyone running a H&R Cup-Kit?

H&R race for 95 M3 LTW
Billstien Sport Struts for M3
328 Sport Package Sways (stock)
Driven about 4000KM on them

Honestly, they're not stiff enough for how low they are. The ones for M3 LTW are supposedly .16 inches lower than the normal M3 springs, i'm honestly not really sure.

Having said that, its still my favourite suspension setup, i wish i could raise the front end about .3 inches, it would've saved me having to buy undersize tires, but it works.

My OEM shocks/springs finally crapped out @ 200,000km 3 weeks ago.
Just got my car back from Bimmersport this week with brand new suspension.

a) H&R Race paired up with Billies sport
b) less than 1000km
c) I couldn't be happier. At first when I ordered them I thought the ride quality was gonna be really bone jarring. But that wasn't the case....at all.
The race springs give it the real aggression stance which the sport srings don't. And the shocks....BILSTIENS hands down. I ran them on my previous bimmer and now on the ///M
d) pics will be up shortly

BTW, I'm @ 150,000kms and I doubt the springs/shocks or other suspension related components have ever been replaced. Either that, or they *MIGHT* have been updated around the 80,000kms mark - I'll have to check the records.

When I do the lowering with Bilstein BTS, I've complied the following list of suspension refreshments:

* E46 M3 RSM
* RSM gaskets
* Front strut mounts and gaskets
* Pads for all 4 springs
* Strut bearings (are these the same as the front Control Arm Bushings?)
* Rear Trailing Arm Bushings & RTAB shims

Does that sound like a good plan? I don't plan on tracking the car, so I think I could do without the Z3 reinforcement plates.

the z3 re-enforcement plates cost approx 30$ for all 4 i believe.

E46 M3 RSM's are plenty though.

a) Bilstein PSS
b) 70,000km
c) great, they're adjustable for height, not overly stiff (I kinda wish they were a little firmer actually),
d) my car is dropped roughly 1.5" all around

1998 323is here

1) Eibach Sportline springs with Eibach pro-kit dampers.
2) Eibach pro-kit sways
3) Eibach front and Dinan rear shock/strut tower bars
4) X-brace
5) 96+ M3 control arms w/ powerflex bushings
6) M3 RTABs with Ground Control shims
7) Rogue Engineering RSMs with Z3 plates

I guess that about it for the suspension mods. I've got around 100 000kms on the setup, and really couldn't be happier. I suspect the dampers are about ready for a revalve, so I think I'll just order another set and send these back to Eibach for service. BTW... it's about a 2" drop all around on the Sportlines.

- JRZ double adjustable with external reservoirs
- Eibach ERS springs (800#, 900#)
- rebuilt twice in the last 2 years, probably 3,000 kms on them

oh ... did I mention that these are on the race car?

a) H&R Race Springs, Bilstein sport struts, Bilstein heavy duty shocks (replaced under warranty), M3 Rtabs & RSMs from Tunersport.

b) Approximate mileage - 60,000kms

c) Ride is pretty darn stiff compared to the wife's 328i lux, but not ridiculously so. It can be pretty jarring driving on some of the roads downtown and I've got to be careful going over some speedbumps and up some curbs, but when the road surface is nice and even, it's nice and smooth. All in all it's pretty driveable setup - firm and sporty, but soft enough for a daily driver.

d) Side shot below:

Yeah, I was wondering why your front looked a lot higher than most H&R Race setups
