E30 electric fan

I have one good E30 electric fan, rare to find one not seized! $40 takes it!

does this fan replace the clutch fan?

nope its just the auxillary fan, for a/c and extra cooling - it goes in front of the radiator, just behind the grill.

thought so... i just wasnt sure if it was performance to replace the clutch one cause people do that with chevys and stuff and it gives you like 5 horse

Yes that works for ANY car that has a mechanical fan; by removing it, you get extra few HP...

This fan can be used for that purpose, just needs to be wired to a thermo switch, or to a manual switch in the car.

dude, just swap the thermoswitch to one from an e36 318i and delete the clutch fan. the aux. fan can keep the engine cool just fine, if thats how you want to do it.
