bro, unless you do intake($350), exhaust($1000) and software($400) all at once, you wont notice the gains. I've got the ECIS intake and i didn't really notice any performance gains but it sounds awesome . BMW's come tuned very well so performance gains are minimal . If you want a car more fun to drive i say do suspension work ,coil-overs or sway bars . you could always buy the intake and exhaust used for half the price the software isn't transferable from one car to another. whatever you get let a 323ci brother know how well it works.

all coupes have sport suspension. just get an intake , exhaust or software they will all give you about the same gains.

oh sorry bud, didn't know that.
i think i'm gonna go for the intake and software
Hoping the intake gives it a better sound.

what does the software do exactly, and how will that affect my gas consumption

intake = super minimal again.. most like upgrade your rev. sounds..
I put K&N filter on my car but I didn't really like it so I change back to Original air box.

software= you might want to do shark injecter. cost around $300 up USD

exhaust = also for the sound. I got magnaflow and love it!! now loud but sounds aggressive. (trust me it is not sounds like civic with ****ing loud exhaust) because 323, 325 has really quite ride. (actually all BMW's are quite)

If I were you, I would put M3 bodykit, headlight since you might not have
xenon and angel eyes.

Don't try to increase your performance with few hundred bucks.

change your exterior!!! and make sure you debadge it. and 4 clears.

my car is also 323ci from 2000. look my sig.

+1 on summit425's comment.

I used to own a 2000 323ci and I can give you my short list:

1) Shark Injector
2) Turner CAI
3) 10 lbs Flywheel
4) Light Weight Pulleys

After all these minor mods, which cost me about $3000 in total, parts n labor, it improves the rev a bit, smoother towards the high-end, but not what you will expect for $3000.

For a Bimmer engine, there's not much you can do to improve the performance, my mechanic told me port polish might help, but not much, or if you take te cat-converter.

For the extra couple hundreds you have, I'll suggest you save it until you can mod the handling components.

As others have said, go for appearance stuff to make you appreciate the car more. Gauge rings for example ... loving the mod on my 325i.

For real power, supercharge or turbo the car. I donít think anything else is really worth the effort or money.

oh yeah, the best bang for the buck is a set of headers. theirs a guy on ebay that makes quailty headers that alot of guys from e46fanatics.com are running. i belive they go for $500 but their a pain to install. just do some reseach and you'll make the right choice for you. like i said before you can always by used for like half cost, i got my intake shipped for $140us.

am i wrong or is this graph messed up
http://www.electrodyne.cc/search_eng...90_16_200.html

i want to get some info on the chip reprogramming.. and came across this graph..

Is this telling me i'll have less torque with the chip at 3000 or even 4000 RPM then with my normal settings.
they either got that graph messed up and hope people didn't notice, or i'm just not reading that right.

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html...CT_ID=INJ3-OBDcheck this out if you want more info on software.the one you were looking at you need to send in the computer from your car then they program it and send it back, which means lots of down time for your car.
