Looking at an E28 M5

It's in tired shape and has been sitting for a while. Doors at the bottom are rotted out. Can these be replaced with other E28 doors in better shape ........ widely available ........... costly ?

Any warnings/concerns I should know about with this car, especially under the hood.......... tranny, rust/rot areas, etc ???

Hows the electrical on the car ?

How is the motor? High mileage? Have service records? The motor is expensive to work on if it needs service.

His price keeps going up..............lots of NLA parts for this beast, rotten doors, a motor with 180,000 km and it currently doesn't start/run, brakes are 110% seized............ and the list goes on.

Left him a message. I have a feeling they think it's a diamond in the rough and worth good money. Anyways, we'll see what happens. Funny, almost 3/4 of the people I showed the pictures to and gave them the description ......... they all told me to run away from it.

And the other 25% don't have a clue, they just think that owning an M-car is cool. What does the guy want for this jewel? It's only worth what an S38 core is worth.
