Those are fakes.... Dead give away... COHIBA looks like it was drawn by a 10 year old. Should be clear and crisp.

They are fakes the Cohiba "face logo" isn't right nor is the box materials, "Cuba" seal is also wrong colour, missing detail markings etc, the real seal looks very much like faded US currency in colour and is much more detailed.

Not to shit on your thread bro, just thought you should know these fakes are often made from floor sweepings/end cut plant or worse they may contain rat droppings pesticides etc.

Being somewhat of an "expert", I don't think they are fake.

Check the gallery here.... http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar...391,84,00.html

I attend the Habanos Festival every year in Havana and toured the Cohiba factory (by invite only) and I can't tell by the pics if they are fake. The question I would ask is where did your gf get them and how much did she pay in CUC?

honestly, i can tell you these are fake just because 99% of cohiba's not sold in the duty free store in havana are fake. Fact is, most cohiba's are fake.

Based on the consistant banding, correct dots above the logo and the uniform colour, I would say they are genuine. A close friend owns one of the largest cigar stores in the city and could authenticate them.

I notice a lot of cigars being sold here, especially Cuban. A general rule, if they are bought off the street they are fake. If the person has a cousin, brother, sister, aunt, uncle twice removed, step father who works in the factory, they are fake. The number one cigar market in the world is Cuban, the number two cigar market in the world is counterfeit cuban. The security at El Laguito (Cohiba factory) is very tight. There are no public tours and banding and boxes would be very difficult to remove from the factory. All the other factories like Partagas are much more open. The only thing that is curious is the price...at $10 CDn a piece, that is WAY below cost in Cuba which would be at least $20 CUC, maybe more, a piece and that works out to $26 CDN.

With all do respect, I have been an avid cigar smoker for more than 12 years, (Cohiba Sigloi) the labels, box stamp and the National Waranty seal pictures which were posted (have since been deleted) were fake.

I've seen some variations in boxes and materials used, but the materials that were photographed are not consistant with any used in the past 12 years.

Have you seen the pics that were in the original post? Not the ones Mirek posted?

i knew these things would cause problems, lol, aka - varriations in opinion, thats why i chose 10 bux a pop instead of 50 bux a pop...and they've been long gone since.

i went to the cigar shop up in niagaras casino this weekend and checked out the co's they have there...mine were pretty much identical from what i can remember, anyhow, they've sold already.

thanks for educating, even though there seems to be 2 sides to it lol.
