I agree,
Awesome car!
I have one too, but if anyone is considering buying one do so after a through inspection, a well maintained one will last forever a neglected one is cost you four times its worth to bring up to spec.
Cheap and easy update for this is to but the newer style B4 hood, they bolt straight on.
Remeber that there were something like 1200 sold over a 2 year period so parts that are specific to the coupe are difficult to get.
Check for:
Snchros - See if it grinds above 3500 rpm.
Check the front end - ball joints, tierods, etc all tend to go - not all that expensive to replace.
Spark plug wires - not super expensive but will cost $400.
Accident damage - they handle incredibly but are often the put into stupid situations because of this.
WINDOW REGULATORS - expensive to fix $500 a side for a used part.
Winshield - almost impossible to get from the aftermarket (I had to replace mine) and the replacement from Audi is almost $800 for the glass alone.
Hydraulic System - Don't even think about buying a car with a leaking hydraulic system it can cost thousands to put right depending on the problem.
Not an expert by any means on these cars, I just happen to have one (same color too) and thought I would share what I have seen.
