will i don't now where u are getting your car prices from but the mto office say that they car is wroth 3655 stock so u better start looking at your getting your pricing from and if u did not see yet all the shit don't to the car then u will see that i am not asking a bad price but i am still selling it obo. so i will but this out in very good words so u can see it.

the rims are worth i would say $1000 and that is with the rubber
the interior i would say it is worth maybe $750 to $1000 if i fix the 1 sit
the front bumper and the spoiler i would say $400
and for the corners that all they need is a cleaning and u would not now the difference and the tails and the eye lids i would saw maybe $350
so your total we will say is $2500
and all that is just for the mods.

Know for all then new parts that are in it.
a new alternator that has no more then 200km on it that i got for $350
and a new starter that u will not have to do for the fact that it is under the manifold so that is all good that coast me $350
and now for a new diff that was $150
so u now all that parts and work that went in to this car and i am not even putting in all the labor for some 1 to put in those parts i would say that there is about $1000 just in the starter the alternator and the diff to be but in so.
and for new parts that is $1800
just for all the parts that i just sad plus labour and mods is a grand total of $3800 so i don't think i am being unreasonable and i still have not even put in the car in that price so please till me where i am going wrong

Man, number one lesson in cars your labor isn't worth anything... so count that money gone.. and things like starters and alternators are considered general maintenance which again you won't get your money out of.. and what the MTO says isn't valid by any means.. Me being a mustang guy.. MTO says they are like $300-$1000 wholesale for 87-93 mustang 5.0's... meanwhile they sell for $5000-$15000.. point is.. they are worth what the market makes them worth.. not what the MTO puts on paper for tax purposes.. Honda Civics are even over valued with the MTO.. You're car is modified which I am sorry but makes the value less than if it were a clean untouched stock 318. The fact that it is a 318 is killing it.. I sold my 92 325i with practically the same mods and MORE! to Treks for a lil more money than you're asking b/c that's all it was worth.. You're gonna have to come down to the 3k area in my opinion to get any interest and PICS.. you will never sell anything without pictures.. Don't use the ones that everyone has seen from Kijiji when the car was only $1200 or whatever it was.... good luck

I have a 92 325 coupe, and the MTO says my car is worth 600 dollars stock. Yeah SIX HUNDRED dollars. I don't know what MTO you are going to.

$3655 <---- retail - dreamprice that dealerships think the car is worth


I'm sure if shawn checked out the wholesale on his car it wouldn't be more that $1000; I know mine wasn't.

Don't really want to crap on your thread; but I bought my 318is for $3000 and that was a year ago. Even if your car was *mint* as you claim; it's still only gonna be worth 3500-3800 tops. Boots is right; M42 e36's have NO resale value. If you're serious about selling the car; you need to seriously reconsider your asking price.

Umm, i really dont think that the difference between wholesale value and retail is gonna be 3000$, which is 5X the wholesale price.
My car, wholesale is 10400, retail 13500$ (a year ago, prolly less now)

Its not that huge of a difference.

Sell the rims if you can get a grand for em. I was gonna sell those exact same rims (18x8.5 e39 M5 reps et38) with some burnt rubber for half that much, (but decided to keep em)

Also, mods DO NOT ADD VALUE TO A CAR.

most people would rather buy a stock car. In any case, its your sale, do whatever you want. This car wont sell for 5500$ unless you find an idiot. If you sell the rims for a grand, mabye part out a few things, you could, including the sale of the car itself, see 3500-4000$ if its in decent shape. good luck

Now we are getting somewhere! Yes, the wholesale says $600 but the retail says $3500. It's true mods do not make the car go up in value. All I am saying is that I have done a lot of repairs that you will not have to do for a long time. They would cost you a lot, well the alternator not as much but the starter would be if you went to a $tealer (dealer). Now like every one says put your car up for more then what u would take for it. Some of you guys are 100% on what I want so until someone comes and looks at the car and says; "I will give u this much." I am staying firm because if i drop the price down $500 you guys will just offer $500 less than that. So until then, I am staying where I am.
