2001 330I lights

Hey guys,

I'm looking into picking up this 330i that I found in the trader, but I have a question regarding the lights on this car. What threw me off is the fact that it is listed as a 2001, but the front and rear lights are post facelift.

Can anyone clear this up for me? I want to know if it's possible that this car could have come like this in 2001. I talked to the seller and he says it's all original and even gave me the VIN. I just want ascertain whether the stuff on it is original or was added after the fact.

here's the link:

I could use the input.

Cheers,

Rob

Even the side markers are up high like the face-lifted model. Did you run the VIN? The freebie Carfax on the VIN will give you the year of the car.

Hmmmm, just did and it says the VIN is invalid. When I go down to see the car, I'm gonna have the seller plug it in himself and we'll see. It might just be that I copied incorrectly.

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.

Actually no, the e36 is going to stay. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep adding to it or just enjoy it as it is right now. I've got DEPO halo's for it and smoked corners and markers; plus Zimmermann slotted rotors. Maybe a nice HID kit, rims and an exhaust if a good deal comes up on Max.

Thanks for asking.
