Try www.bimmerdiy.com or search here and BFc. I think it's been covered in all 3 of those places....

I'm looking to do this at some point this summer as well.

Unfortunately you can't search OBC. 3 letter words aren't allowed.

I've done the swap 3 times already. It's not too bad, but there is some wiring and interior disassembly required. There are some really good DIYs on the topic... I'll do the swap, but it's $$$$$

HAHAHAHA I was only joking about the $$$$, but it does take an hour or two of my time, and about $10 in wire, connectors, etc...
I don't know if I would do it for profit...what do you think it is worth?

98Dinan3 (Dave) <-- comes highly recommended for OBC swappage.. Did mine last summer/fall and he knew what he was doing from the get go and a very clean install to boot. He didnt want anything for doing it but i forced him and his girlfriend to have dinner on my expense.. (he also guided me on changing out the cabin filter during the console disassembly...FTW!)

Have to agree with Big R here, Dave did the install for me too, while I ripped the dash apart we changed the cabin filter too. Very clean with the install and no dash fires, which is always a bonus.

Def do the microfilter at the same time, its not a whole lot of fun to do on its own and it can be dusty.

Cheers,

Dan

doesn't matter, just make sure it's got the harness "pigtails" with it. Can't do the swap without the extra harness.
