Unhappy E30 320i touring stalling and not starting anymore!
Hi guys, I just bought myself a manual 1989 E30 320i touring off ebay, It drove well for first three days but now I have a couple of problems with it.


The biggest problem is when I start and drive the car it is fine for one minute or so, then it looses power (speed) and sounds as if it is running on five cylinders. When I try to rev the engine in neutral it won't go over 1500-2000 rpm then it cuts out and will not start again. The engine turns but does not start.

Has anyone come across this before?

FALSE ALARM! Faulty *#~'#!!! fuel gauge!! There was no fuel in tank! I'll get that fixed asap!

You should check the jingling pin where the gumshum valve is sitting, it might be meshing with the tamplam pulley
