- Get it checked out by a good mechanic (if they don't let you take it there run away)
- Check the odo for the tamper warning (small dot near the mileage display).
- Run the VIN with a dealer, get the history
Good luck!

The 330 has more power, and more standard features. With a 325i, there are a lot more options to be added to make the car nice.
A 330i is better than a 325i for sure.
Unless you have a SMG M3 Transmission, the automatic transmission is just that.... Automatic. It is no where close to a manual transmission with a clutch.
If you can drive a manual, don't get a 330i automatic. It would be a waste of a car.

When I ordered my car, I was debating the 330i or the 325i. I bought the 325i thinking I would love the handling and didn't need all that extra HP.
Well, I was wrong. I wish I bought the 330i instead.
As for BMW's, I think the majority of people are looking for manual cars. I may be wrong, but everyone I know who was shopping for a used BMW, was always disappointed when they found a low mileage/good condition "Automatic" car!
