abs and asc light - speed sensor,

I just got back from a golfing trip to find that my car is MESSED! the abs light and the asc light are both on and they wont go away. From reading in other forums it seems that the speed sensor on my front passenger side is messed, since that sensor is somehow related to the transmission and currently my transmission is acting funny. Each sensor does something else.

I figure I post here in case someone else has this problem, they would have an idea of where to begin their search. I just order the speed sensor and it was 190 from the dealer and it seems like a simple job to change.

good advice,

For some reason, I have the same problem again, good thing that I posted what the problem was here, so I can come back and see it, but too bad I didn't post what the solution was... I remember I did have to change a speed sensor, but just dont remember which one it was.

I do recall taking it to a mechanic that RIPPED me off $80 bucks to try to change it and he changed the wrong one. I then took it home, even though it was -25 I jacked the car up and swapped the freaking sensors in a matter of 15 minutes!

it worked fine after that... anyhow, glad I posted what the problem was, this time I will come back and post which one I changed too, if anything for my own reference!

I do remember reading that if it was the back sensor or maybe the passenger side, that the cruise wouldn't work, I tried the cruise control on my way back from the office and it was working....

so after 2 years. you have the same issue???

the same sensor went ??

I know I had the abs and dsc light came on when I weas leaving a commercial building's parking lot, stayed for a long while, once I turned it off and on.. it went away..

When you go for the "clean air test", those lights will come on but it will go away..

I thought about that and drove the car around for 30 mins, lights didn't go away. Also, the transmission wouldn't change gears when it needed. So I drove to the stealer bought the part and it took 15 mins to change!
