282 hp e39 540 vs. Charger Hemi - what a joke
i got a stock 2000 540 - manual
so we are sitting at the lights, I have my wife and daughter with me, and next to me is a guy in a new Charger Hemi RT (360 HP) no one else in the car but him...
I did not even think of racing but when the lights turned green we both started rolling and then I noticed him looking at me and giving it all he had, by the time I realized what's going on he was full car length ahead. Well , I stepped on it and by the time we were doing 80-90kmh I pulled more then a half car length on him. His eyes were rolling out of his face with disbelief.
HEMI my a.s.s.

e39=3748 lb
charger=4031 lbs
not that much heavier... i bet he was automatic.. i have a feeling if he was standard, it would be a closer race...

Lol, love it!! Good work! I had SO many people surprised at what a e39 540 could do.. At least they don't just make a fast car by throwing displacement at it.. imagine what a BMW tuned, all aluminum 6.4 liter, uh, I guess that would make it a BMW 564i would be like?!
Word.

YES that is awsome. Too many people buy those new dodges thinking they are the fastest cars around. First of all they will never make hemi's like they used to and second congrats to you for showing that guy not to under estimate the power of bimmer.

Well I am not totally hating on dodge I love their cars still but honestly they are trying to hard to remake all the classics like the challenger and soon the cuda most likely. But I guess they do what ever boosts sales which are sky high compared to a few years ago.
