Raced a TT quattro ?
anyone here chased a TT quattro all out ?
i took one on in heavy rain a few weeks back, both of us are quite stock .. we both lost the front a bit in the long U leading to the highway .. and after a bunch of zipping around we got into traffic ..
have u guys tried taking on a TT quattro b4 ? their numbers show 225bhp but forget what revs theirs come in, that's rather close to the 330Ci numbers .. i just wanna have a better idea of how their car goes when i take one on again cuz i had so much fun this time .. =)

I got beat by one...
In my old truck.
They are quick little buggers and supposedly very fun to drive. They suffer from understeer b/c of the quattro though....

The 170 horse version is slow as hell, but the 225hp one is not that slow at all. Its slow compared to its competition, but its no slug... A little ABT chip and 225hp jumps to 300 in no time

Ah yes, I totally agree.
I love that quotation. I was reading a book about Enzo Ferrari and that was one his his famous lines.

haha .. sweet quote !
yeah the TT's quattro (it seems in canada only the 225hp version gets quattro) seem to be quite ok, fairly competitive with my 330 .. but we were really redlining on the kinda day it was ..
thanx i'll keep that in mind when i 'check one out' again .. =)

Who won the race? I think u would have a tough time with the TT since it has a better power to weight ratio than u do.

well during the corner we were as even as i could imagine .. same speed, similar lines, even same place understeer

I'm sorry I hate ****ing audi's. My friend has an 2000 A4 2.8L, 6cyl, 190hp quattro. Those quattro's weigh a ton and eat so much power. I have raced him in my 323is and blew the doors off him, I wouldn't be afraid to take on a TT at all.

hehe that's cool ..
did your friend's A4 2.8 have any changes though .. air filter ? short-shift ? tires ?
the thing was we didn't get even close to redline (or at least i didn't, shifting at around 4000-4300rpm) and we hit traffic quickly after .. and it was pouring rain that day
looking forward to post that i beat the TT 225 one by a length next time .. =)

Did in my M5
It was kinda informal 'race' but had my frikin snow tires on so could not launch at all.
With DSC major engine bog, without it, wheelspin so got killed at the start but after I got momentum above 50km/h, I showed the TT the M5's quad exhaust!

As much of a Bimmer fan I am, don't under estimate what the Audi's car do.
If you think you can maybe take a TT, I so dare you to take on my friend's 1997 A4 1.8T Quattro. You'll die once he launches his car right from the start.
