Wheels got jacked

Hi all.

Two nights ago some thief took the following from my sister's garage in Oakville:

1 set of 19" SSR GT2 mounted on General Exclaim UHP tires
Link

1 set of 18" Miro M6 replica wheels mounted on General Exclaim UHP tires
Link

They are both E46 fitment and are fairly rare (I have never seen another E46 with either of these wheels in the GTA). Please keep a lookout for them or any bimmer riding on these wheels. I am sure I could identify both pairs.

I will likely not get them back but would like to find the fool that did this. A police report was filed yesterday.

Thanks.

Good luck, hopefully they find the thief... any luck with the insurance company?

I will try home insurance and see how things work out.

The money is one thing but it took a lot of effort/time to get these things over here.

yeah i think you have to be on the look out yourself. All the people that i know, filed a report but police will never bother to look for the wheels!! why didnt you have lock nuts???

Check ebay...craigslist, and all the papers...but usually in this situation, your best bet would be to rely on insurance. Sorry for the loss...those SSR's are some nice wheels, not cheap either. Hope you find the mofo...this is why I run shitty stock M3 wheels...lol

Why two complete sets or rims uninstalled, sitting in her garage? Has her garage been broken into before? Who have you and she been publicizing to that you have these rims stored in the garage? No home security system? Could they have been stored in her basement? Why did you wait two days to publicize this theft? I'd analyse what she did and how things could be done differently so that this doesn't happen again. The thief knows how to get it. If you replace the rims, they'll try again.

Wheels were temporarily being stored in the garage (not installed) since they were just swapped out for a winter setup a week or two ago.

If I find them, somebody gonna get a hurt real bad

the good thing is both of those rims are very rare, so its gonna be tough to unload them unless its overseas or across the boarder. i suggest keeping an eye on most bmw type forums and ebay of course.

good luck

I love SSR wheels, so I will notice if I see them.

Sorry. I meant to be realistic. I hope he finds them but you have to expect the worst. Anything found is bonus!
