Best 'local' wax??

Whats the best wax that one can buy locally in town? ie not on the internet... cuz I wouldnt mind to do this to my car, but I neither have the time nor the patience to cruise on the 'net to figure out how to buy stuff from somewhere I dont know... oh, and pls dont say crappy tire lol

So best wax?? $$ isnt a problem, as long as its somewhere in the GTA. Possibly a speciality store?

Zaino?

I doubt its the best money can buy.

Actually i'd spend my money on a highspeed buffer, that and the right stuff, beats any oribal/hand wax around.

There is special wax/polish/compound to use with highspeed buffers.

What is your criteria? (Looks or durability?)

There aren't many high-end/boutique products available locally in a brick-and-mortar store.. plenty online though.

Give us your criteria, and perhaps someone can help you.

If you want locally available I'd have to go with Zaino too; available at The Barbers Shop. Because I am anal and need to say this; it's a sealant, not a wax.

Oh and an afterthought.. you mention Zaino is a sealant.. can you wax on top of sealants??

Edit: One more thing.. whats a better wax... Zymol or that Meguiars NXT or whatever it is...??

Klasse is the best sealant, bettter then Zaino. I tried both. You can wax over sealant, but not the other way around. The main thing with a sealant is you can layer it, so use it often and you get wicked protection, so I dont bother putting wax over it. I have 3 layers of Klasse on my car, that was 3 months ago, and the water still glides of the car easily. For ppl that drive their BMW in the winter a sealer is a must IMO. Slap on a few coats in the fall and you are good to go all winter.

Meguiars is a better wax and has a better product line .Zymol is okay but over priced 10 years ago Zymol was the best. Meguiars makes some good wax's they have many different types the one you are asking about is NXT Generation Tech Wax this is a very good wax for a one step wax and easy to use. If you want your car to shine and last you should use paint cleaner first before you put the wax on your paint this will give you the best results if your doing all this by hand. and you can find this at canadian tire or any automotive store

I haven't tried Klasse, but I want to. I heard good stuff about Zaino, but I hear it doesn't offer much protection afterwards. My friends found that they have to re-wax afterwards. Zaino is more of a polish than a protectant. Perhaps use Zaino and then klass to seal it up.

Right now I'm just using that meguiars synthetic.

I find that the best way to get a shine is to still go back to the old fashioned way of polishing, then waxing. I polished my car with a 10" rotary polisher this year for the first time in a few years, and I was able to get that ol glitter back into the E34. Of course I sealed it up with a synthetic wax afterwards.

Remember than synthetic offers more protection, where carnuba offers more shine.

i think its called the "Barber's Chair" ... you can find it in most major malls. The ones that i know about are in Square one and Vaughan Mills. The Barbers Chair is actually a salon so don't think that its the wrong place to get car wax. everyone thinks why would a salon have car wax... but the Barbers chair does. i think they are the only retail chain in Canada to carry Zaino.

well your dad has a shop right Rudy, he should be able to get you stuff only shops can get, not sold to the general public, I use to work in a bodyshop & we had lots of different wax, sealent, compounds etc, I find the stuff to be a little more $$$ than the regular stuff you see at crappy tire.
