FS: Winter Beater '94 Pontiac Sunbird

Hi guys.........remember this thread??

http://maxbimmer.com/forums/showthre...ht=clean+freak

Well, the Sunbird has paid its dues and is up for grabs as a really beaten winter beater or parts car. I need room on my driveway for my new car....

Pros:

Starts every morning and I still put 100km on it each day..
It has half a tank of petrol right now......
It will never be stolen !!

Cons:

No AC. Hey its a winter beater !!
Fan belt needs replacing....squeaks in damp weather.
Cracked windshield.
Needs major tune up.
Leak from 'someplace' allows rainwater into car creating pools in rear seat area.
2 tone. Red and rust......
Slight exhaust leak.
Tires will last one more season with careful use.
One side of instrument cluster housing the headlight switch pops out occasionally and has to be reinserted or will remain dangling by a colourful array of wires.
Cassette player may chew your tape if you hit the rewind button.
Front left speaker is defective.
Cigarette lighter does not work (smoking is bad for your health).
Drivers seat back support has only 2 positions....up completely or down(no lean-back driving in this machine).
Fan blower motor cuts out intermittently especially when temperatures fall below 0. You should be dressed warmly in winter anyway....
Hood latch gets stuck often. You need to jar it open by driving over a speed bump, or giving it a sharp tap with a closed fist (don't hit the rusty part).

That's all I can think of at the moment.

All this can be yours for the simply unbelievable price of $199.99 !

I remember when you first posted you bought that car. I bought my 96 Grand AM 3.1V6 for the winter around the same time.

I lucked out with mine. Put 50K in one year, not a single problem.

Not bad, I put on about the same......200k in 4 years. The engine seems fine, but it's the little peripheral annoyances that are a pain especially the water leak which 2 mechanics have had no luck finding.
