That is a nice monitor. If you MUST buy a LCD, you should check out Canadacomputers.com, or logic computers... negot. w/ them and you might even get tax off...

i think that's the biggest difference you are going to find ... tax or no tax. Prices for monitors these days won't differ that much from store to store.. even when compared to Futureshop.

Good luck.

yea, Canadacomputer's is one of the best places to buy comp parts, tell them you'll pay cash, and also make it look like you're not some corporate guy cuz they had problems with government people comming in cuz of not paying one tax.

only downside to LCD monitors is the refresh rates aren't very good. If you're a gamer, the frames will look like they're skipping a bit. otherwise they're awsome.

my favorite computer store is: www.look4computer.com
they're up at 16th and woodbine, and have some of the lowest prices in all of toronto. You can even barter the price with them if you purchase in person.
They're cash only though, but you still get a reciept.

i'm not sure if this is out yet, but I believe plasma monitors should be out soon and they should have a good refresh rate...*crosses fingers*

i think i'm gonna call that place canadacomputers and ask about the SyncMaster 151B.

i did some searching on that one and on the samsung website is shown MSRP as $899Cdn and on canadacomputers is shown as $545Cdn i hope that is right cuz i'll take it right away

and they have the 151S as well only there is no price there it says only "call" so i'll see which one. but i'll grab one of those for sure in the next few weeks.

and i'm not a big gamer so i dont really mind that.

MSRP is ALWAYS a lot higher than what you can buy it for, MSRP is only a suggested price for dealers.

Actually, from what I've heard, LCD's have NO refresh rate, its "simulated". But I apparently they're a lot better for your eyes, but bad for gaming, the monitors cant keep up, thats why I opted for a flat 19" CRT, I love it! Friggen heavy though.
