Playstation 3 (699 version) $996.86

Ok guys I know that marking up a ps3 is not popular here but hear me out.
My younger brother and his friend wanted to get some extra money for christmas. They already work at my dads grocery store on weekends so they are not lazy. They only make $5.50 an hour , 4 hours a day.

I suggested they wait inline at futureshop to buy ps3 and then resell them for a few bucks just to cover there time in line.
They bought three ( which I actually paid for ).
The deal was that one is mine for my kids and the other two I'll help them sell for a fair price for there time.
Cost was 699 + tax = 796.86
I feel 200 markup ( which will be split between the three of them ) is fair

My boss bought one, I kept one for my kids , so there is one left .
PM me your number and we'll make arrangements.

First come first serve.
I believe this is fair , if you don't then please keep you commemts to yourself as I only attempting to help some honest hard working kids ( very rare these days ) get a little extra cash for Christmas.

God Bless.

minimum wage for under 18 is 7.45
over 18 is 7.75. Feb 2007 minimum wage goes to 8 for over 18 and i think 7.65 for under 18.
also, the kids are working for Their dad. Which means that they probably dont do much and drink more pop and juice during their shift/eat food so dont have to call the ministry of labour lol.

anyway, im glad to see a PS3 not retailing for 2000$. 1000$ is a fair price. but after camping ou tthere over night. u can probably get $1300 easy. but then u fall into the moral dilema. and the thread bashing lol.

dont sell to Eiso. hell probably turn around and sell it for 2k on this site.

SOLD SOLD SOLD.

Thankyou all those who showed interest.
A member who does not want his name put out there , came by with his wife and two small boys. It is for his kids Christmas gift but required that it be tested in front of his wife to make sure it worked.
I must say that I was very impressed by the whole thing.
He brought over a Blueray DVD and a game he bought for the system.
He even sold me two games that he purchased for the system at the reatail price. (receipt included).
I'm glad to see that there are descent people out there.
He was very happy to get the system for his kids at a reasonable price that he was more then glad to sell me the games at cost.

He only bought the extra copies in order to resell them on Ebay in order to offset what he figured would be a huge markup to pay to make his kids happy for christmas. This is there first ideo game system except for those plug and play retro games out there.

Only my brother is related the other kid is just a friend. They are both 15 and my Father pays them cash plus lunch so 5.50 is fair. They do however both work , not super hard but hard enough. No frills is union so he can't hire them on the payroll, just as casual llabour.

ANyway thanks again to MR & MRS H (you know who you are) and to all the MAxbimmer members out there who PMed me.

Nice sale.
Congrats on the sale Tolimo, glad you and the buyers had a positive experience here. Nothing wrong with making a few dollars on the side, that's business, and a valuable business lesson for the kids as well.

Hey, good for you man! I'm glad that those kids realized that if you make a sacrifice you get a nice return. I'm glad you're teaching them something positive and letting them earn the 200 bucks!
