e30 "Ghost Riding"
My e30 likes to ghost ride down the incline in my driveway. I park it at the top and its at the bottom in the morning.. actually i am sure its down within 15 minutes from when i park it. My ebrake does not work so I just keep it in first gear.
Well I am guessing its my compression since it is not a big grade.. But my car does not burn oil so I don't really think its my rings..
any other opinions??

Depends on the inclination of your drive way. Any car will move in first gear if pushed or pulled with engough force. Fix the e brakes, thats not safe.

Keep a brick beside where you park. Get out and wedge it under a tire. Problem solved.

Bud just get the e brake fixed. Think about what would happen if some kid or someone came up the driveway and get rolled over. Don't take that risk.

Your clutch could also be slipping, but that would be noticeable when driving. I've never had a car in gear roll on me, and I've parked on some steep inclines before.

I had a house on a hill and my e30 would roll back when parked in 1st gear without ebrake.
You guys have bad wheel bearings

My parents driveway is pretty steep, and none of my E30's have ever rolled back, ever. I need to get into the habit of setting the ebrake tho, I usually just leave it in gear.
