While we are killing to do engine swaps in our cars...
this guy puts this 535i 2nd generation m30 engine....

Boat, awesome 
I have a magazine kicking around with some guys using the BMW Cls motor to make a turbocharged power boat.
My 1972 2002 was painted in the exact same Candy Apple Red the engine valve cover and some other parts are painted with.

When you first posed this, i clicked on it, only after the first 2 posts. It took me a while to figure out it was a boat. I though it was an E30 that had astroturf/carpetting as a paint job, and an engine bay made of wood!
I've always loved it when boats had cool car motors in them (i remember seeing a powerboat with 2 viper engines in it), but i've always wondered how this swap is acheived. Is it complicated to get this to work?

No it's not complicated at all. The toughest part is to fabricate a bell housing adaptor to mate the engine with the out drive. The guys in the Caribbean did this all the time with cars, swapping all sorts of engines into all sorts of cars.
You have so much room to play with, you can mount stuff anywhere as you can see in the pics. The motor harness and ECU can be placed anywhere, headers and exhaust easy as well. Being in water, the clutch is more than likely direct driven, no need for hydraulics.

It's not a stupid question, yes it is water cooled, you can see the coolant expansion tank. . This does not have original BMW cooling system on board, look at the big, black coolant cylinder/tank on the right side of pics 1,2,3.
Regular marine engines use the water from which the boat is in to cool the engine.
No I don't have pics of the complet boat.

The boat looks similar to this one. This one is my neighbour's it has a V8 small block in it. I did some internal work in the outdrive for him and here we are about to test drive it.
