Your source is flawed. Tirerack does not carry Toyo, Falken, or Hankook; these are some of the best aggressive tires available, and every single one of them offer at least 1 top-end tire in 225/45/16.

Also, Gleb wants at least 225's; wider than 225 in 15" is very difficult to find, 245/45/16 street tires as well as R-compounds are plentiful, and will bolt right onto an E30 (with fender work).

I have not run into any brake issues with my M50 powered E30 with normal OEM Rotors. I have tried slotted, ATE, Brembo and still always return to the OEM blanks ... good enough and cheap so I dont care if I have to replace them 3 times a year.

For pads I use most of the time Hawk HT10 (track pads) front and rear or GrandSport GS3.
Stainless steel lines, ATE fluid and Brake ducts is a must.

This setup is good enough for me to keep up with the faster guys on the track, no fading issues at all, very good feel and balance to the car.

I am locking up ocationally, it happens, but this is only because I have left the braking point to late (has nothing to do with swaybars or camber ...)

Oh, I use Toyo RA-1 (R-comp) tires in 225/50/15.

interesting... what are the symptoms? mushy pedal or stiff pedal and "no brakes" feeling ?
if first - supposed to be the fluid, if second - try good sloted rotors to remove gasses.

called UUC yesterday, and was told "definitely in 30 days something should be ready for the E30". I will give them till Jan 1, 2007.

Also was talking to Lee (Massive), I think that his kit is also something to consider.

Jay, are you saying that with 245/45/16 I will not have any speedo or gearing problems?

Speedo will be closer to correct than it ever was, gearing will be 2.9% taller (negligible).
