M5/M6 Killer?
... I just said that to create controversy!
But it's close! Alpina B7:
- 500 hp
- 516 ft/lb
- 0 to 60 in 4.8
... all from a (supercharged) 4.4L V8, 16.2:1 compression ratio.
Swwweeeeettt!!
With all the comforts of a 7-series, for a measly $30,000 USD more than an M6 .

There are also rumors of a Alpina X5 coming to North American soil.

I know they call the CLS a coupe ... but it's got 4 doors ... I still say sedan. I wasn't trying to draw comparisons between the CLS and the 7 ... just in awe of the Brabus CLS power.
Yep, the B7 was at the autoshow.

Old thread I know, but I didn't think this really needed it's own thread.
Just wanted to say that I had a chance to sit in a B7 this past weekend!! DAMN, what a sweet ride ... I thought that the regular 7-series interior was extremely nice (which it is), but Alpina somehow made it even better. Nice new headliner, little plaques of authentication to let you know you're sitting in something special, along with other little accents.
And the exterior upgrades are pretty sweet too ... looking at the thing head on is kinda humbling ... the big grills and body kit basically say, get outta the way ... 500 horses coming through ... looks sick in black too!
That's all.

16.2 : 1 CR and supercharged? Something is VERY fishy about that.

I was gonna say, dayum that is some high compression, I thought that boosted cars had to be around 8:1 CR

I quote only what I have read ... I haven't tested the compression ratio myself ... I think the link I originally got those numbers from is this one:
