Honestly, if you has all his info, make a seperate post, with all his info, and see if anyone on the west end that lives nearby is willing to help you out, i'm sure someone can go talk to him directly!

transfer your funds through paypal accounts. this way u have recourse. and like someone posted, if paypal doest give ur money back then visa will, it just takes a bit of time. Also keep a record of all contact with the seller/buyer ie. emails. Protect yourself. If a seller isnt willing to give deatils such as ip address, home address, phone numbers, dont deal. The ip address is a very good cross reference btw.

and to add.. this thread needs to die. Its great that you have all this support and that now everyone is well aware that this stuff can happen. but come on now, stop threatening this guy and take action already. This case shouldn't be a problem provided you have all the info you've stated.

do not have someone else visit him. this brings in a third and not nessecary party to the situation. When you finally decide to have the police involved you need to keep this simple and factual. not to be an ass.. but i think you should respect the guys wishes if he prefers to keep convos in quiet.. if he doesn't pay you back within that time, then it's ok to post out all the PMs..

I think the guy lost that right by ignoring/not refunding the guy in the first place. Now he's saying it'll be another month? Unacceptable. That's a lot of money to be out, there's no excuse for any of this.
